luajit2 backend for Cantor

I am happy to announce the new luajit2 backend for Cantor, that will be released with KDE 4.14. If you haven’t heard of Cantor yet, it is a KDE application that provides a notebook-like frontend for various programming languages, with a mathematical and scientific focus.

This luajit2 backend provides basic syntax highlight, code completion and support for showing images / plots.

Below are some screenshots of the new backend in action:

There are many math and science related libraries written for Lua. This new Lua backend does not relies on a specific library. In the screenshots you can see that the lna library has been used, but there is nothing limiting the usage of other libraries (or no scientific library at all, since it can be used for general purpose programming anyway).
